Over 4,520 gas ovens recalled in the US due to fire risk
Some Insignia brand gas ovens sold in the US are being recalled after it was determined that buttons could malfunction and create a fire risk. The recall covers approximately 4,520 units.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of Insignia gas ovens sold at Best Buy stores and through the company’s website under model numbers NS-RGFGSS1 and NS-RGFCGS2.
The statement noted that the oven buttons could accidentally activate, posing a fire hazard.
Authorities stated that no injuries related to the incident had been reported so far, but the recall was issued due to safety risks.
Around 4,520 units were recalled.
The recall covers approximately 4,520 units sold between November 2020 and March 2026.
The sale prices of the products ranged between $280 and $1,470, it was reported.

Consumer warning
The CPSC urged consumers to keep children and pets away from the oven knobs, ensure the knobs are fully closed before leaving home or going to sleep, and not place items on top of the oven when unused.
Best Buy announced that owners of recalled products would receive a free knob guard set to prevent accidental activation.

The model number is located inside the bottom drawer of the oven, it was noted.
