Disneyland Prepares for Holiday Season in the U.S.

Disneyland Resort in California will begin its 2026 holiday season on November 13. Celebrations that will include Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, the resort hotels, and the Downtown Disney District will continue until January 6, 2027.

Throughout the holiday season, visitors will be greeted with special foods and drinks, themed entertainment, light shows, and new costumes of beloved Disney characters. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and friends will appear before guests in outfits inspired by winter mountain getaways and holiday journeys.

One of the year's standout additions will be a new meeting point prepared for Santa Claus. From November 13 to December 24, Santa will meet visitors at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure Park and at Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn in Disneyland Park.

Traditional shows are returning

Disneyland Park’s classic Christmas events will also be staged again. The “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” procession and the “Believe…in Holiday Magic” nighttime show will be on the program. Haunted Mansion Holiday and “It’s a Small World” Holiday will welcome visitors with seasonal themes.

At Disney California Adventure Park, the “World of Color – Season of Light” show will return to Paradise Bay. Entertainment such as Mater’s Jingle Jamboree and Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl will also be offered with holiday‑season arrangements.

Within the Disney Festival of Holidays, six different food markets will be set up. Menus will feature various flavors such as fried pork belly adobo. The Sip and Savor Pass application, which allows visitors to sample a variety of foods and drinks, will also be offered again.

The festival’s entertainment program includes Holiday Toy Drummers, the “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” parade, “Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season,” and The Three Caballeros in the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party. The show “A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel!” will also be staged on Buena Vista Street at certain evenings.

Hotels and Downtown Disney will participate in the celebrations.

In the lobby of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, an exhibit themed around gingerbread cookies, standing about 2.1 meters tall, will be set up. While seasonal spa treatments are offered at the hotel, character‑themed Christmas meals will be reorganized at Goofy’s Kitchen and Storytellers Cafe.

In the Downtown Disney District, nightly artificial snowfall, live music performances, and Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail event will await visitors.

A special promotion is being prepared for those wishing to stay at Disneyland Resort. Guests can benefit from discounts of up to 20% on certain multi‑night stays between 11 October–18 December 2026. Campaign reservations will begin on 22 September.

Meanwhile, the opening date for reservations for the three different New Year's‑themed character meals has not yet been announced. Prices for special items such as the Mickey Train Light‑Up popcorn bucket and the Holiday Stitch Christmas Tree drink container will also be announced later. The schedule and fees for the Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort guided tour will be shared in the coming months.
