Three Suspects Approached

Condition of the Injured Student

After the attack, medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the injured student was taken to the hospital, police reported that the young man was not in life‑threatening condition and was expected to recover from the assault.

School officials said that during the search by security staff, the weapon was found in the student's backpack.

According to information relayed by ABC7 New York, the weapon found at Curtis High School had live rounds in its magazine. Police said the 18‑year‑old student had been fighting another student, and the weapon was uncovered during the intervention of school security staff.
