In Brooklyn, Unlicensed Youth Hits Parked Cars

In the United States, a chain‑reaction accident that occurred on Tuesday evening in the Gravesend area of Brooklyn, New York, caused extensive damage to parked vehicles along East Second Street. Police said that two young people connected to the incident were detained and that a total of 13 vehicles were damaged. After the crash, vehicle debris spread over a wide area on East Second Street drew attention. A resident of the neighborhood said he had parked his car about ten minutes before the incident, entered his home, and shortly thereafter heard a loud collision. The unfortunate citizen noted that his own vehicle’s front bumper was also damaged when he went outside. He said that the scene on the street became striking after the crash due to the many vehicle parts scattered on the road.

Collision Sounds Were Heard One After Another

Another resident in the area said he heard powerful collision sounds coming one after another during the incident. After the sounds, he looked outside and saw police teams cordoning off the area, describing what happened as a great commotion.

17‑Year‑Old Driver Escaped

According to police, the incident centers on an unlicensed 17‑year‑old driver. The young driver reportedly struck 13 cars just before 19:00 and then fled the scene. A 16‑year‑old passenger in the vehicle was also apprehended with the driver. Police said that after the two youths left the scene, damaged vehicles and a wide wreckage trail remained.

No Injuries

Officials announced that no one was injured in the accident in which 13 vehicles were damaged. According to police records, the 17‑year‑old driver was taken into custody for driving without a license and leaving the scene.
