Emotional Moments at Céline Dion's First Concert After 6 Years
The world‑renowned Canadian singer Céline Dion gave her first full concert in Paris on Saturday after about six years. The 58‑year‑old artist, who had been away from the stage for a long time due to a rare neurological disorder, reunited with music fans.

Canadian singer Dion took the stage before about 30,000 people at the Plenitude Arena in the Nanterre district of Paris. At the start of the concert, the artist sang the French 1990s hit “On ne change pas,” and he was overwhelmed with emotion, struggling to hold back tears.
The artist’s return to the stage came after the diagnosis of stiff‑person syndrome (SPS) announced in 2022. The rare neurological disorder had prevented Dion from performing for an extended period and forced him to cancel his planned tour.

During his comeback concert, Dion thanked his fans and reminded them of his promise to return to the stage again. His full‑scale final concert took place in March 2020 as part of the Courage World Tour. His performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics was one of his most striking stage returns after a long hiatus.
A 16‑concert program in Paris
Céline Dion’s return to Paris will not be limited to a single concert. The artist will take the stage at the Plenitude Arena in September and October as part of a 16‑concert schedule. Ticket demand for the first show was reported as extremely high, and the entire program sold out quickly.
In the concert series, Dion is expected to perform career highlights such as “My Heart Will Go On,” “The Power of Love,” and his French songs.
Dion's return to the stage is being seen not only as the beginning of a new phase in his music career, but also as a noteworthy development in terms of a performer who had been away from the stage for a long time due to health issues reuniting with millions of fans.
