According to his relatives, Terzi changed his name to Salvador Castro while living in the United States.
However, because this change was not registered in Turkey’s official records, bureaucratic obstacles have arisen regarding the shipment of his body to Turkey.
The America Diyanet Center has launched a support campaign.
Following the developments The America Diyanet Center (Diyanet Center of America - DCA), has launched a fundraising campaign to assist with the transport of Terzi’s body to Turkey and the funeral arrangements.
In a statement, the Center said that financial support is needed to transport Terzi’s body to Turkey and complete the funeral process, noting that the family is unable to cover the costs alone.
The statement added that donations would contribute to covering the costs of transporting the body to Turkey, official procedures, and funeral expenses.
