In the state where meteorological observation stations recorded uninterrupted rainfall for 60 hours, downpours adversely affected daily life. While widespread flooding occurred in many areas, roads and infrastructure also suffered damage.
Over a Thousand Homes Suffered Damage
After the heavy rains, it was reported that more than a thousand houses across the state were damaged. While landslides and building collapses occurred in some areas, teams began on‑site work to assess the extent of the damage.
46 People Are Receiving Treatment in Hospitals
Officials announced that 56 people lost their lives in the disaster and accidents, while 46 were injured. It was noted that the injured were receiving treatment in various hospitals, with some health centers experiencing overcrowding.
The provincial administration announced that while continuing damage assessment work in affected areas, it is also evaluating loss claims. Officials urged residents in areas where rainfall is expected to continue to be cautious of flood and landslide risks.
