With the development of technology, unconventional jobs have begun to appear in the workplace.
Hourly $20 for Walking Robot Dogs
In the job posting opened in San Francisco, the company announced that it is seeking employees who will accompany the robot dogs used in developing AI systems on the streets.
The job offers an hourly wage of $20, roughly 860 TL. In the task planned to be worked 4 to 6 hours a day, employees' daily earnings can reach about 5,000 TL.
No Experience Required
Dimensional's posting does not require candidates to have prior experience in robotics. The company will provide employees with the necessary information about the robots they will use, safety rules, and the walking routes to follow.
Those who will guide the approximately 15‑kilogram robot dogs are expected to be able to walk outdoors for long periods and to use smartphones.
Goal: Teaching Robots City Life
Walks accompanied by employees and robot dogs are not just a simple stroll. The cameras and sensors on the robots record surrounding images and various data during the walk.
The collected data help artificial‑intelligence systems learn real city conditions, recognize obstacles, and better perceive their surroundings. Thus, the aim is for robots to move in the future with less need for human intervention.
