Countdown Begins for Turkish Festival in San Francisco

The San Francisco Turkish Festival will be held this year for the third time at Embarcadero Plaza in the city. The event, scheduled for September 12-13 in San Francisco, California, United States, will bring Turkish culture and the diverse hues of the Turkish world to visitors in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Broader Program with 48 Participants
According to the announcement made by the organizers, the festival will offer a more comprehensive program this year with 48 participants compared to previous years. It was noted that the event has grown each year to become one of the important meeting points for Turkish culture in the United States.
Hosted Over 7,000 Visitors Last Year
The festival's organizer, the Turkish American Association of California (TAAC), announced that it hosted more than 7,000 visitors and 41 vendors at last year's event. The organization aims for the 2026 festival to be held with an even larger turnout.
Turkish Cuisine and Culture in San Francisco
In the festival area, doner, baklava, and various pastries from Turkish cuisine will be offered to visitors. Handicrafts reflecting traditional and contemporary Turkish culture, cultural exhibitions, and product sales will also be part of the program.
Music and Dance Performances
In the two‑day program, in addition to Turkish music, there will be a Turkish choir, performances by Turkish artists, Sema performances, and dance events. The festival aims to bring the Turkish community in San Francisco together with local residents through cultural activities that families can also attend.
Meeting at Embarcadero Plaza
The festival will take place at Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco on September 12 and 13. According to the official schedule, the event will be open to visitors from 11:00 to 18:00 on both days.
