Artificial Intelligence Move to Restaurants from Stavio of TACCI USA
Artificial intelligence move to the restaurant sector from TACCI-USA! Stavio, a member of Oda, with its system that can take reservations 24/7 in many languages including Turkish, aims to lighten the workload of restaurants operated by independent and immigrant entrepreneurs.

The use of artificial intelligence in the restaurant sector in the United States is spreading into new areas. The Turkish‑American Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TACCI‑USA) announced that the AI platform developed by Stavio for restaurants operated by independent and immigrant entrepreneurs has been launched.
Stavio aims to support restaurants’ operations in areas such as phone, table, messaging, customer reviews, and staff training through a single system. It is noted that the platform was developed specifically for businesses that operate with small teams and struggle to manage customer communication during busy service hours.
AI Opens the Phone
Stavio’s standout feature is its AI‑powered phone system. The system can answer calls to the restaurant 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can respond to frequently asked customer questions such as operating hours, reservations, halal options, parking availability, and whether outdoor seating is available.
The system can communicate in multiple languages. When the AI cannot answer or a staff member’s intervention is required, the request is forwarded to the restaurant team.
Speak with the Menu in Over 40 Languages
Another feature of the platform is an AI‑powered menu system that operates via QR codes that can be placed on tables.
Customers can ask questions about the menu in more than 40 languages, in text or voice, by scanning a QR code without downloading any app. Instant information can be obtained on topics such as contents, allergens, vegan or gluten‑free options, and the characteristics of the dishes.
Stavio also offers an optional smart menu feature that allows customers to review dishes by category and filter them by criteria such as vegan, gluten‑free, or halal.

It also answers messages with AI.
The system can also respond to customer messages received via WhatsApp and SMS, in addition to phone calls. This enables the same system to reply to customers who contact the restaurant through different channels, in their own languages.
It aims to catch negative reviews in advance.
Stavio's customer experience system also aims to help restaurant owners manage their online reputation.
Customers can share their experiences directly with the business. The platform directs satisfied customers to leave reviews on sites such as Google, Yelp, and TripAdvisor, while ensuring that feedback from dissatisfied customers reaches the business first. This way, the goal is to give the business a chance to intervene before an issue turns into an online complaint.
It analyzes competitors and reviews.
The platform does more than just communicate with customers. Stavio's reporting system analyzes the restaurant's reviews, nearby competitors, and business-related data to produce reports containing 30‑, 60‑, and 90‑day recommendations at regular intervals.
The system can also create draft posts for the restaurant's Google Business Profile on topics such as special menus, holiday hours, or new dishes. These posts are not published without the restaurant owner's approval.
It also trains restaurant staff.
One of the areas where artificial intelligence is used is employee training. Stavio can create tests for staff by drawing on information from the restaurant’s own menu.
New employees can, before their first shifts, use their phones to check which products are gluten‑free or halal and which dishes contain specific allergens.
No Need to Replace Existing Systems
Stavio does not require restaurants to replace their current digital infrastructure. The company says the platform can be used alongside order systems such as Toast, Square, and Clover, as well as reservation services like OpenTable and SevenRooms.
In a notice to its members, TACCI‑USA highlighted that Stavio was developed especially for independent restaurants and businesses run by immigrant entrepreneurs.
Artificial intelligence’s reach—from answering a customer’s menu question to phone reservations, from staff training to tracking online reviews—highlights the new role the technology is beginning to assume in the industry.
