Targeted MAGA Supporters: Her remarks toward Republicans drew attention.

In the program, West criticized Republicans who support Donald Trump, saying that if elected she would want to remove Republicans from office. The candidate, who accused some MAGA supporters of racism and questioned their intelligence, also criticized immigration policies.

Claimed she was threatened: 'We also have weapons,' West said.

West claimed she was receiving threats, saying that a nephew of the Fayette County Sheriff had threatened to kill her. At the end of the program, when asked for a message to voters, she looked at the camera and said, 'We also have weapons.' These remarks became the focus of the debate as the footage spread on social media.

Response from the Sheriff's Office to the claim: 'I Have No Male Nephew.'

Zac Jones, the manager of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, said in a statement to Fox News Digital that he does not know West. Stating he has five nieces and no male nephews, Jones said he did not understand whom the candidate was referring to.

Voting will be held on November 3.

Jaime West is competing against Republican Gary Keener Jr. for the 4th district seat on the Fayette County Board of Commissioners in Indiana. The election is scheduled for November 3, 2026.
