US Billionaire's Starlink Decision Allegedly Affected Ukraine's Drones
It was alleged that the American billionaire Elon Musk's instruction to lower Starlink's connection speed affected Ukraine's military drones. The claim of a meeting with Trump is also in the news...

Sources speaking to the U.S.-based Wall Street Journal (WSJ) alleged that SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, has limited the speed of the Starlink satellite internet used in Ukraine. According to the claim, the restriction severely impacted the operation of some Ukrainian-made attack and defense drones.
Allegation of a Meeting with Trump
Sources said that Musk and U.S. President Donald Trump discussed the decision, but there were differing claims about whether the phone call took place before or after the restriction. It was also alleged that SpaceX representatives reached out to White House officials to craft a joint message about coordination between the company and the administration.

Zelenskiy’s Statement on the Restriction
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenskiy said that Starlink was not completely shut down, but that speed limits affected some military and humanitarian operations. Ukrainian defense technology adviser Sergiy Beskrestnov also noted that the restriction on military internet services caused delays in certain missions.
Different Statements from Trump and Musk
Trump denied reports that he had previously ordered the Starlink service to be cut or slowed down in Ukraine. Musk said that the military-purpose StarShield system is under the control of the U.S. government and that the final decision on usage restrictions was made by the U.S. President.
