Billions of lira in money movements, fund investigations, affected investors, politicians' fortunes, and endless corruption allegations…

Every day a new debate, every day a new operation, new questions awaiting answers! The agenda keeps changing, but the citizen's agenda never changes…

The retiree can't fill his bag in the market.

He is calculating the cost of bringing a kilo of meat to his low-wage home.

Young people can't find jobs, and artisans are struggling to close shutters without breaking out.

While the nation struggles with the problem of living, billions of lira in transactions reflected to the public, wealth debates, and allegations of irregularities undermine society's sense of justice.

When it comes to the citizen, it's thrift, sacrifice, and patience! When it comes to those who wield public power, there are questions awaiting answers and endless debates!

What kind of arrangement is this?

What kind of oversight is this?

What kind of approach to accountability is this?

How did the money movements that surfaced in the fund investigations occur?

Did the oversight mechanisms perform their duties on time?

The false claims that Mustafa Sarıgül and his children have unjustly amassed a billion-dollar fortune, which have been presented to the public, must be thoroughly investigated.

These questions cannot be sidestepped by shifting the agenda, political polemics, or a few statements. If there are allegations, they must be investigated, documents must be presented, and the facts must be disclosed to the public.

Moreover, the issue is not limited to just a few names.

Municipal tenders, zoning changes, public expenditures and personnel appointments… All of these are projects carried out with the nation's money and on behalf of the nation. Therefore, the account must also be given to the people.

Why are tenders awarded to specific firms? Has public harm occurred? Were public interests considered in zoning decisions? Why is merit being pushed to the background? Why do allegations of favoritism never leave the agenda?

These questions must be answered!

Audit reports should not be left on shelves, allegations of irregularities should not be ignored, and findings related to public harm must not be buried. Even a penny of public damage should be investigated; those found responsible must face the necessary legal proceedings.

Municipalities are not anyone's farm, nor is state property anyone's father's property!

Member of Parliament, minister, mayor, parliament member, or any public official… No matter who!

Holding a position is not a privilege. Political power cannot be a door to escape accountability. Law must be applied equally to all, and audits should not be shaped by a person's identity or political closeness.

The problem is a governance approach where audits fall short, merit is pushed to the background, and citizens expect sufficient explanation about how public resources are used.

State institutions should act according to law and rules, not based on individuals. Audits must not be performative, reports should not stay on paper, investigations should not become tools of political scorekeeping. Institutions that fail to perform their duties and allegations of neglect must also be examined.

Let anyone who has done wrong be exposed!

Let anyone who has taken the rights of a child whose hair hasn't yet grown be held accountable!

The state's resources belong to the people; offices are entrusted. Those who misuse that trust must answer, regardless of their identity, political ties, or power.

Ineffective oversight mechanisms must be renewed, public institutions must be audited effectively, merit must be the basis, and transparency must be ensured.

Allegations of corruption, theft, and extortion must be investigated regardless of whom they concern; evidence must be presented, public harm remedied if present, and those proven responsible must answer before the law.

Because the issue is not just a matter of today. It concerns what kind of country our children and grandchildren will live in. The sweat of laborers, the work of workers, the future of youth, and the nation's taxes cannot be surrendered to anyone's personal interests.

Our final word is clear: This state is not ownerless! This nation is not ownerless!

Those who evade accountability should know this well: the agenda may shift, debates may be forgotten, but the nation's expectation of justice will not vanish. Truths will surface sooner or later. If the law is applied as required, no one will profit from the wrongs they commit.

With greetings and respect…
