In the planned memorial arrangement, each empty chair will symbolize a life lost in the attacks. Visitors will be able to place carnations on the chairs from 8:00 a.m. on the morning of September 11 and write remembrance notes for the deceased.

Donation Campaign for Carnations

Under the event, Bank of America announced it would donate $25 for each carnation left. Donations based on up to 3,000 carnations are planned to be divided among the NYPD, FDNY, and Port Authority PBA foundations.
