Rapper Diddy transferred to another prison after luxury living claims
American rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs was transferred to another prison in Pennsylvania after allegations that he was living luxuriously and fought with a fellow inmate while in the New Jersey prison where he was staying. Officials confirmed the transfer but did not explain the reasoning behind the decision.

“Diddy” ve “Puff DaddyThe change in Sean Combs' prison sentence, known for his handcuffs, made headlines in the U.S. press. A source who spoke to the Associated Press (AP) confirmed that the rapper, who was incarcerated in New Jersey, was transferred to another prison in Pennsylvania.
Combs' spokesman Juda Engelmayer, in his statement, said the rapper is focusing on moving forward with his life. Engelmayer said he hopes the process in his new prison will proceed smoothly and that unnecessary obstacles will not occur.
Officials confirmed the transfer, but did not share details about the reason for the decision. Whether the transfer was directly linked to the allegations that reached the press also remained unclear.
Accused of Living a Privileged Life in Prison
According to a story published by NBC News in September, it was alleged that Combs had other inmates cook meals, handle cleaning and bed‑making duties, and receive massages in his New Jersey prison.
The article also alleged that the rapper accessed social media via a cell phone despite it being prohibited in the prison. The claims sparked debate over the conditions in the facility and the privileges reportedly granted to Combs.
TMZ, known for its tabloid coverage, claimed in a story published on 14 October that Combs had fought another inmate and was injured. The article alleged that the rapper was taken outside the prison for treatment. Authorities did not provide a detailed statement about the allegations.
After being detained on 16 September 2024, Sean Combs became the focus of a high‑profile criminal case in the United States. During the investigation and trial, serious charges of sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and forced labor were raised against him.
The indictment alleged that Combs forced some individuals during the sexual activities called "Freak Offs," which were said to sometimes last for days. Prosecutors also raised claims that the rapper threatened victims with career control, applied economic and physical pressure, and tried to influence witnesses.
The indictment also noted that drugs were seized during searches of Combs’s homes as part of the investigation. However, not all charges resulted in convictions; the rulings issued in the case were limited to the offenses that were sentenced in the trial.
Sentenced to 4 Years 2 Months in Prison
On 3 October 2025, the court convicted Combs of two offenses under the Mann Act, which criminalizes the interstate transport of persons for prostitution. The rapper was sentenced to 4 years 2 months in prison and a $500,000 fine.
The Mann Act, which came into force in 1910, criminalizes the interstate or international trade transport of persons for unlawful sexual purposes as specified in the law.
Because of the conviction, Combs, who is in prison, was transferred to another facility, bringing the prison conditions and new allegations against him into focus. The officials’ failure to explain the rationale for the transfer keeps questions about the process alive.
