Hacıosmanoğlu offered support to Montella: "There will be no changes to the technical staff"

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu made statements to journalists at the national team camp following the national team’s elimination from the World Cup in the group stage.

Hacıosmanoğlu stated that the current squad had a share in the team’s successes, noting that most of the players were young and would continue to contribute to Turkish football in the future.

Addressing recent rumors of a change in head coach, Hacıosmanoğlu said there were no plans for any changes to the technical staff.

“We lost two matches, but it is the coach of this team who is responsible for these victories. We will support both the coach and the players,” Hacıosmanoğlu said, expressing his support for Vincenzo Montella with the words, “We never change what we have walked through, what we have found along the way.”

While evaluating the team’s performance in the tournament, Hacıosmanoğlu also pointed out the importance of luck, saying that different results could have been discussed if some critical positions had gone differently.

Hacıosmanoğlu acknowledged that Montella could be criticized from a technical standpoint, but nevertheless expressed confidence in the team’s future, saying, “There is good in every bad thing, so we will look to the future.”

Responding to criticism of his own management style, Hacıosmanoğlu stated that he had been involved in football for many years and would continue to express his opinions openly.
