After Leavitt's departure, the White House press secretary position remained vacant. With Trump's new appointment, the administration's press communications are expected to be handled by Zacharia. It was reported that Leavitt will serve as a television commentator on Fox News Channel starting November 1, 2026.

The New Spokesperson's Role Will Be Closely Monitored
Zacharia's role will involve conducting the White House's daily press briefings and answering journalists' questions about the administration's policies. The appointment will mark the beginning of a new era for the Trump administration's media communications.
