Turkish-American business community meets in Miami: Ambassador Önal's striking message

The annual gala organized by the Turkish-American Southern Chamber of Commerce (TACCS) in Miami brought together business, diplomatic and political representatives from Turkey and the United States. Attending the evening were Turkey's Ambassador to Washington Sedat Önal, as well as AK Party Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Affairs Zafer Sırakaya, U.S. House Representative Joe Wilson, Mayor of Miami Eileen Higgins, and Mayor of Doral Christi Fraga.

Message from Ambassador Önal on Turkish-American Relations

Speaking at the gala, Ambassador Sedat Önal said that Turkey and the United States are experiencing one of the best periods in their recent history.

Önal noted that dialogue at the leadership level, coordination between institutions, and regional cooperation play a significant role in this process.

Highlighting that the Turkish-American community acts as a bridge in many areas between the two countries, Önal stressed the importance of strengthening the community's position in the United States.

Önal also underscored the importance of the Turkish‑American community acting in unity and solidarity to defend national interests.

During the evening hosted by TACCS President Erhan Çevikel and the board of directors, messages were also delivered to promote the development of Turkey‑US economic and trade relations.

During the gala, appreciation awards were presented to several U.S.-based companies, and the 100th anniversary of Koç Holding's founding was also celebrated.
