16-Year-Old Turkish Pilot at Ferrari: Target Formula 1
Alp Hasan Aksoy became the first Turkish pilot selected for the Ferrari Driver Academy. The young athlete, who has drawn attention with three victories, will race on European tracks in 2027.

The 16‑year‑old Turkish racing pilot Alp Hasan Aksoy achieved a significant milestone in motorsports by being selected for the 2027 roster of the Ferrari Driver Academy. Standing out as the first Turkish driver to join Ferrari’s young driver development program, Aksoy has moved on to a new stage in pursuit of a Formula 1 goal. The young athlete was born in Istanbul on 10 October 2010.

Three Wins Grab Ferrari’s Attention
Aksoy competed in the Italy Formula 4 Championship and the Euro 4 series during the 2026 season. The young pilot drew attention by securing a total of three victories, including results at the Misano and Paul Ricard circuits. Following this performance, Ferrari incorporated Aksoy into its Maranello‑based driver development program.

Will Compete in the 2027 European Championship
Accepted into the Ferrari Academy, Aksoy will race in the 2027 Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA). The event, which starts in Portugal and ends in Spain, consists of a total of 10 races. The young driver is expected to compete under Prema Racing and continue his career with Ferrari’s backing.

Eyes Set on Formula 1 in 2030
Alp Aksoy's long‑term goal is to become the first Turkish driver to race in Formula 1 in 2030. The young athlete had previously stated that he wanted to represent Turkey at the highest level of international motorsport and to play the İstiklal Marşı. Being selected for the Ferrari Academy presents a significant opportunity toward that goal, but his promotion to Formula 1 will depend on the performance he delivers in the coming seasons.
