The shopping system in U.S. stores selling Amazon return products became a topic on social media. A social media user named ezzzoooo described that in the store he visited, products were offered at different prices on specific days and customers bought surprise items from sealed boxes.
Prices Drop as Days Pass
The user explaining the store's operating system said that on the first day all items were sold for $12. He noted that in subsequent days prices gradually fell to $10 and $8, and by the end of the week had dropped to as low as $2. He added that new products arrived with the start of the new week.
Contents of the Boxes Are Unknown
One detail that makes shopping at the store intriguing is that most products are sold in sealed boxes. Customers cannot see the item inside the box beforehand and cannot open the boxes themselves. Instead, they must seek the help of a staff member.
According to the user, customers are allowed to have only four boxes opened per day. For electronic items, a functional test can be performed in the store before making a purchase decision. Additionally, if the price of a liked item on Amazon is below $12, an extra discount can be applied.
Went Out of Curiosity, Came Back with a Projector
A social media user who said they went to the store at 09:00 in the morning and that there was a line at the door, said that customers were being taken in order inside. They noted that those who entered first had an advantage in choosing products.
The user who said they did not go to the store with the intention of buying a specific product stated that choosing among the variety of products was quite difficult. At the end of the shopping, they explained that they bought a projector even though they did not need it.
The post sparked curiosity about stores that sell Amazon return products at affordable prices, while also raising the question of how users approach such surprise purchases. The social media user asked whether people would line up for shopping every week if a similar store opened in Turkey.
