The social media user Rojda Gümüş Genç, who lives in the United States, shared her birth‑process experiences on her social‑media account. She said that the prospect of giving birth in an unfamiliar country far from her family caused her anxiety, but the process she went through after the birth turned out to be quite positive, contrary to her fears.

Before the birth"How will it be, will I feel lonely?"Genç, who said she was thinking about those questions, stated that she did not feel lonely during the three days she spent in the hospital.

Genç, who said that nurses introduced themselves at each shift in the hospital, explained that regular checks were performed and that she was helped with the matters she was curious about.

Genç, who said that the training on breastfeeding, infant care, and the mother's postpartum health was also important to her, said that she was able to go through the process more comfortably thanks to these supports.

Baby Bag Given at Hospital Discharge

Genç also conveyed that many details that the mother and baby might need were considered in the hospital room. Genç, who said that they could choose their own meals, added that the small celebratory meal prepared after the birth and the baby bag given at discharge were among the process's noteworthy details.

Expressing that what she experienced after giving birth had given her a significant awareness, Genç said that even if her family were not present, a person can still feel safe and supported.
