A sales listing that has stirred the luxury real estate market in ABD's Florida state has come to light. The billionaire businessman Frank McCourt, former owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and owner of the French football club Olympique Marseille, put his magnificent mansion in Boca Raton on the market with a price tag of $125 million.

The property, noted for its private marina, spacious living areas, and location on a waterway opening to the sea, is poised to upend regional real estate records.

The Billionaire's Plans Have Changed: Luxury Mansion Goes on Sale

Known for his real‑estate investments, Frank McCourt purchased the property in 2024 from Andrew Robins, owner of Universal Tile & Marble Enterprises. At the time, the mansion was a rough construction, but McCourt's investments completed it into a luxury living space.

However, after the new home was finished, the family altered their living plans in Florida.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, McCourt said his wife Monica McCourt has been involved in horse riding for years, and that his children have also turned to the same sport.

The businessman, who initially said he planned to split his time between Boca Raton and Wellington, said he preferred to live in his family's properties in Wellington because of their equestrian activities.

Following that change, the mansion in Boca Raton was put on the market before it could host a long‑term family life.

Private Marina in Front of the Gate: 30‑Meter Yachts Can Dock

One of the most striking features of the mansion on the market is its private marina that opens directly onto the waterway.

The property, located on the shore of Florida's famous Intracoastal Waterway, sits on a sprawling 8.8‑acre parcel. The main residence's living area covers approximately 1,670 square meters.

The mansion features seven bedrooms, two separate office spaces, and a private fitness room. Outside the main house, there is an independent guest house and an outdoor swimming pool.

However, the feature that sets the property apart from other luxury homes is its private yacht dock designed in an L shape.

The marina, which can accommodate yachts about 30 meters long, has the capacity to host multiple vessels at once. Thus, owners can reach their boats straight from their mansions without leaving.

McCourt emphasizes that waterfront parcels with these features are extremely rare in Boca Raton.

Even a Tree in the Garden Was Moved with a Special Operation.

The mansion's luxury is not limited to its architecture and marina. The property's landscaping was also carried out with a substantial investment.

One of the garden's most striking features was a massive Moreton Bay fig tree.

The tree that McCourt particularly values was brought to the site in a special operation, with its trunk divided into three parts for relocation.

This unusual detail in the garden reveals that the estate’s design prioritizes not only comfort but also the natural environment and visual aesthetics.

If it sells, it will go into Boca Raton history.

The $125 million asking price has sparked the possibility of a new record in Florida’s luxury real‑estate market.

The highest‑priced residential sale in Boca Raton to date was recorded when a waterfront property in the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club area changed hands for $75 million in May 2026.

If McCourt’s estate sells at the asking price, the current record will be exceeded by a full $50 million.

Real‑estate consultant Maria Mendelsohn from Douglas Elliman, the firm handling the sales, said the property faces the water about 67 metres.

Mendelsohn argued that the $125 million price reflects the property's features and value when compared to luxury housing markets such as Miami and Palm Beach.

He had previously sold a house for 99.1 million dollars.

Frank McCourt's high‑priced real‑estate deals in Florida are not limited to that. The billionaire businessman sold another property in Palm Beach in 2019 to U.S. billionaire investor Ken Griffin for 99.1 million dollars.

McCourt, who owns properties in Boca Raton and Wellington as well as a condo in New York, holds significant investments in the country's most coveted real‑estate markets.

Who is Frank McCourt?

American billionaire Frank McCourt is known not only for his real‑estate investments but also for his ventures in sports and technology.

The businessman who chairs the board of directors of McCourt Global, the investment firm, owned the Los Angeles Dodgers and Dodger Stadium of the American professional baseball league MLB from 2004 to 2012.

Today, McCourt, who owns the historic French football club Olympique Marseille, also draws attention with his activities in the technology sector.

Through Project Liberty, which he founded, he aims to give internet users greater control over their personal data and to reshape the digital infrastructure.

McCourt had also entered the spotlight with investment consortia formed for bids to acquire TikTok's U.S. operations.

Now, the billionaire's $125‑million Florida estate is awaiting a buyer as one of the most eye‑catching listings in the luxury real‑estate market.
