In Vietnam, at Miss World 2026, 24‑year‑old Dominican Joheirry Mola Dominguez, who left behind the representatives of 111 countries, became the new queen of the world’s most prestigious beauty contest. The final of Miss World 2026 took place on 5 September in Nha Trang, Vietnam. At the end of the competition, Joheirry Mola Dominguez, who represented the Dominican Republic, wore the crown of victory.

Spain’s representative, Elisabeth Reynés, finished second, while Malaysia’s representative, Taanusiya Chetty, took third place. With this result, the Dominican Republic won the Miss World crown for the second time.

With 111 countries represented in the competition, the Top 40 was first selected during the final stage. The selection of the quarter‑finalists was influenced by a range of events held throughout the contest, public voting, and jury evaluations.

Dominguez, however, secured his place in the Top 40 by winning the Top Model competition held in the Americas and Caribbean region before the contest.

Sıla Saraydemir represented Turkey at Miss World 2026. Saraydemir achieved a noteworthy result for Turkey by making it into the Top 40 in the competition.
