Mansur Yavaş resigns from the CHP
ABB Chairman Mansur Yavaş announced that he is leaving the Republican People's Party. Yavaş announced that he will continue his political path independently.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş announced his resignation from the CHP to the public through a statement on his social media account.
Yavaş said that he had previously stated he would take appropriate action if he or his conduct within the party caused any discomfort.
In his statement, Yavaş used the words, “I had previously said that if there was any discomfort regarding my person or my conduct within the party, I would take the necessary steps.”
I am continuing my political path independently.
Yavaş announced his decision with the following words:
Due to some statements made today; I am leaving my membership in the Republican People's Party, and I present to the public that I will continue my political path independently.
With Yavaş’s statement, as his CHP membership ended, it was announced that he would continue in the role of Ankara Metropolitan Mayor independently.
