Pezeşkiyan addressed the United States from the UN podium: America bombed these children!

Pezeşkiyan began his speech by showing photographs of children who lost their lives in an attack on an elementary school in Minab, accusing the United States.

Iran's president emphasized the children's innocence and said the following:

They bombed a school, and do you see these children? These children had no crimes. America killed them. These are the terrorists. We only defended ourselves; we are not terrorists. Our innocent people become targets of cowardly attacks.

Pezeşkiyan claimed that Iran's hospitals, schools, universities, and health centers were targeted, arguing that the attacks in question violated international law. He also alleged that the United States targeted schools, gymnasiums, and scientists with numerous war headlines.

United States Delegation Left the Room During the Speech

A few minutes after Pezeşkiyan began his speech, it was seen that a member of the United States delegation left the room. It was reported that the person left the room after looking at the podium, and that the seats where the United States delegation was seated were completely empty afterward.

The Iranian president, however, asserted that his country responded to attacks but did not target civilians,“We did not kneel, we did not bow. We responded, but we did not target the civilian population.”he said.

“Iran Has Never Started a War”

In his speech, touching on Iran's war policy and the negotiation process, Pezeşkiyan said that his country had never started a war. Stating that Iran had laid out its commitments at the negotiation table, Pezeşkiyan noted that his country had had to defend itself.

Pezeşkiyan, who claimed that the Iranian people had endured heavy attacks, stated that his country would not surrender in this process.

Pezeşkiyan concluded his speech with the following words:

“We will defend ourselves until our last breath. We will not bow our heads, we will never kneel.”

The President of Iran also touched on the Palestinian issue, using the phrase “Palestine is an open wound in all of our consciences.”
