The Bodyguard Musical Will Be Staged in Turkey for the First Time

The world‑renowned musical 'The Bodyguard' will meet audiences in Turkey for the first time between September 11‑20, 2026. The production, coming to Istanbul in collaboration with BKM and Zorlu PSM, will appear on the stage of Zorlu PSM before art lovers.

Shows presented by Michael Harrison and David Ian will be part of the musical's United Kingdom and Europe tour. The production will feature a live orchestra, striking stage design, and powerful choreography.

The musical’s repertoire includes unforgettable songs such as 'Queen of the Night', 'One Moment in Time', 'I Have Nothing', 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody', and 'I Will Always Love You', all associated with Whitney Houston.

So far staged in 15 countries and 45 U.S. cities, 'The Bodyguard' has reached more than 3.9 million viewers worldwide. The musical has also been performed in the Netherlands, Germany, South Korea, Canada, Italy, Australia, Spain, France, Austria, and Japan.

The stage adaptation was directed by Thea Sharrock, while the script was written by Oscar‑winning Alex Dinelaris. The production, also staged at London’s famed West End Adelphi Theatre, was nominated for four Olivier Awards.

'The Bodyguard', which brings music, romance, and tension together on the same stage, will say hello to Turkish audiences for the first time with shows at Zorlu PSM on September 11‑20.
