A breakthrough from a Turkish scientist that offers hope in cancer treatment! Tumors disappeared in 15 days
The nano drug delivery system developed by Ege University faculty member Prof. Dr. Şenay Hamarat Şanlıer and her team, in experimental mice, lung tumors...

Ege University faculty member Prof. Dr. Şenay Hamarat Şanlıer and her team have developed an innovative system aimed at delivering drugs directly to tumor regions in cancer treatment.
Under TÜBİTAK funding, the study employs the technology known as the "Ultrasound-Responsive Magnetically Targeted Nano Drug Delivery System," which aims to direct drugs to cancerous tissue via magnetic targeting and activate them in the target area using ultrasound waves.
Striking Finding from Animal Tests
Within the study, the system's effect on liver tumor models was examined. According to the reported data, tumors in the test animals disappeared completely within five to fifteen days.
The developed technology is significant for delivering drugs to the target area in a more controlled manner. It is intended to contribute to research aimed at reducing the impact of drugs on healthy tissues in future cancer therapies.
Patent Process Ongoing
While studies continue on new treatment methods for cancer, it was noted that the system developed by Prof. Dr. Şenay Hamarat Şanlıer and her team is in the patent stage.
However, it is emphasized that the results obtained in experimental mice do not guarantee that the same effect will be seen in humans. Further research is needed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the system for clinical use.
This study, developed by Turkish scientists, is among the promising research in the field of targeted drug delivery technologies for cancer treatment.
