Türkiye Cumhuriyeti is adding another diplomatic mission in the Amerika Birleşik Devletleri. With consulates in Boston, New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago and Los Angeles, Türkiye currently has six consulates‑general in the ABD, and it is opening its seventh in San Francisco.

Ali Cıkla, who previously served as Deputy Consul General in Boston, has been tasked with establishing Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’s Consulate‑General in San Francisco.

Diplomatic Representation to the Technology Hub

San Francisco and its surrounding Silikon Vadisi, one of the world’s leading technology hubs, hosts hundreds of tech companies and numerous international ventures.

The growing number of Türk entrepreneurs, technology professionals and academics operating in the region has made the opening of a Turkish diplomatic mission in San Francisco significant.

The new consulate‑general is expected to not only advance economic, commercial, technological and academic ties between Türkiye and ABD but also to enhance consular services for Türk citizens living in the area.

With the appointment of Ali Cıkla as the founding consul general, the work to establish and run the San Francisco Consulate General is also expected to pick up pace in the coming period.
