Two world titles at age 9! Elif Eylül's new goal is to become a scientist like Aziz Sancar.

Kayseri-born 9‑year‑old Elif Eylül Kılıç drew attention with the grades she earned in international mathematics olympiads. Having won world titles at the American Mathematics Olympiad and the Fibonacci Mathematics Olympiad held in Rome, Kılıç announced that her new goal is to join the TÜBİTAK National Mathematics Team.

The young Kayseri-born Elif Eylül Kılıç, who turned her early passion for mathematics into international achievements, is introducing herself with the degrees she has earned. The 9‑year‑old Kılıç secured first place worldwide in two major international competitions within a single year.

Introduced to Olympiads in the 2nd Grade

Elif Eylül, who met Olympiads while still in the 2nd grade, first participated in competitions organized by the Turkish Wisdom Foundation. Following her success, Kılıç, who began competing in various organizations, earned notable placements on the international stage in the 4th grade.

Kılıç said that Olympiads helped develop her, and with each new competition she set fresh goals.

One Year, Two World Firsts

Elif Eylül Kılıç reached world first place by answering every question correctly in the American Mathematics Olympiad.

After his success, Kılıç, who took part in the Fibonacci Mathematics Olympiad held in Rome, the capital of Italy, once again marked a major triumph by becoming world champion.

The nine‑year‑old student, who secured world titles in two distinct international mathematics olympiads within a year, said that the accolades he earned motivated him toward new achievements.

To represent Turkey in Germany and Uzbekistan.

Kılıç's successes did not end there. The young mathematician, who won a gold medal at the SASMO and the Germany‑based STEM Olympiads, earned the right to compete in the October event in Germany and the December event in Uzbekistan.

Kılıç, who said that the support of his family and teachers played an important role in his success, expressed that representing the Turkish flag in international competitions brought him great joy.

New Target: TUBITAK National Mathematics Team

Elif Eylül, who also shared her new goals in mathematics, said she wants to join the TÜBİTAK Milli Matematik Takımı.

Kılıç also said she aims to achieve a significant rank at the International Antalya Mathematics Olympiads (OAMO).

The successful student described her Olympiad journey with the following words:

The first Olympiad I entered was the Türkiye Zeka Vakfı Olimpiyatları in second grade. After that, I started participating in different Olympiads. In fourth grade, I became world champion at the Amerikan Matematik Olimpiyatları and the Fibonacci Matematik Olimpiyatları held in Rome. These achievements made me very happy and motivated me.

I Want to Contribute to Science Like Aziz Sancar.

Elif Eylül Kılıç, who said she wants to pursue medical education in the future, said she aims to contribute to the scientific world.

Kılıç, stating that he takes Nobel laureate Turkish scientist Aziz Sancar as a role model,"When I grow up, I want to study medicine and contribute to science by pursuing scientific research like Aziz Sancar, and represent my country"he said.

Elif Eylül Kılıç, who has already won two world championships at the age of nine, will continue her work to represent Turkey in upcoming events in Germany and Uzbekistan.
