Urgent Warning to Families in the U.S.: Check These Toys!
These toys that children love to play with may not be as innocent as they appear! In the U.S., more than 15,000 products were recalled because the water beads inside them could grow in the body when swallowed, causing intestinal blockage and a risk of death. Officials warned families to 'stop using them immediately.'
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that some boredom‑inducing toys for children pose a serious health risk. The recall includes Squeezy Dumplings sold by GIHNJSI and Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys owned by OKK Trading.
According to officials' warning, the small water beads inside the toys can expand in a child's body if swallowed. This can lead to serious health problems, including choking and intestinal blockage.
Can Grow Inside the Body When Swallowed
CPSC stated that swallowing the water beads can cause severe discomfort, vomiting, and fluid loss, as well as intestinal blockage. It was emphasized that in the most serious cases there is a risk of death for children.
Federal officials also announced that the beads in the toys can expand beyond the permitted size, thereby violating mandatory federal toy safety standards.
No injury cases related to the two recalled products have been reported so far.
More Than 15,000 Toys Recalled
The recall covers about 8,000 Squeezy Dumplings. It was noted that the products were sold on Amazon during the May–June 2026 period. The toys’ labels bear the phrases “SQUEEZY DUMPLINGS” and “SQUEEZE ME.”
About 7,200 Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys reached consumers through third‑party sellers across the United States during the May–August period. The packaging of these products features the phrases “Rainbow MYSTERY” and “SUGAR EDITION.”
Both toys stand out for their translucent appearance, round shape, and squeezable texture. Inside, they contain water beads along with glittery particles, and their outer surfaces display face expressions reminiscent of cartoon characters.
Warning to Families: ‘Stop Using Them Immediately’
Officials said the toys should be removed from children’s reach immediately. Consumers were urged to follow the instructions of the relevant companies to obtain refunds.
According to the procedure announced by the CPSC, consumers must write “RECALLED” on the toy and its packaging, discard the product, and send a photo showing this to the relevant company. After that, a full refund can be requested.
Another Warning Has Arrived for a Toy
The CPSC also issued a separate safety warning for Squishy Bun Toys sold by Ivyapingdianpu. It was noted that these products contain expandable water beads and do not meet mandatory safety standards.
Unlike the other two products, the seller reportedly refused to accept the recall and offered no solution to consumers. Consequently, officials, in a warning covering about 106 items, urged consumers to stop using the toys immediately and destroy them.
It was recorded that the products were sold on Amazon in June 2026, and that they may have also reached consumers through other third‑party sellers and websites.
Officials asked families, especially those with young children, to check the contents of the toys that can be sucked and to keep the recalled items away from children at once.
