Brutal Attack Report in the U.S. Ends Bloodily: Police Open Fire
In the U.S., a midnight report of 'someone is attacking a woman with a paddle' prompted police to act. After the teams reached the scene, the ensuing confrontation ended in death within seconds. However, the reason why the police opened fire remains unexplained.

In San Fernando, a city in the U.S. state of California, the person alleged to have attacked a woman with a shovel was shot and killed by police. After the incident occurred at night, the California Department of Justice launched an independent investigation.
Police Report: 'Attacking a Woman with a Shovel'
The incident occurred near Maclay Avenue and Third Street in San Fernando.
According to the statement of San Fernando interim police chief Anthony Miranda, police units were dispatched to the area following a report of a 'deadly armed attack.' The person who made the report said a man had attacked a woman with a shovel.
Police units that arrived at the scene shortly thereafter confronted the suspect. According to officials, the police opened fire at that time.

However, what the suspect was doing at the moment he faced the police and under what circumstances the police fired has not yet been disclosed to the public.
Died at the Scene
Police performed CPR on the person who was shot at the scene. Despite the interventions, the suspect could not be saved and died.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. Officials said the name would not be shared with the public until the family is notified.
Three Individuals Gave Statements as Victims
According to police, the woman who was reportedly attacked with a spear gave a statement after being taken to the police station.
In addition to the woman, two other individuals connected to the incident were also heard by police as victims. However, detailed information about what happened to the other two during the incident and how they were linked to the attack was not released.
Why Did the Police Open Fire?
One of the most important questions in the incident is why the police opened fire on the suspect.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the details of the confrontation between the police and the suspect or the events that led to the use of a weapon.
San Fernando Acting Police Chief Anthony Miranda said that the loss of life was a great tragedy that affected the family, relatives, and the entire community, and that the incident was being investigated independently.
California Department of Justice in Session
Following the death of a person as a result of the police opening fire, the California Department of Justice launched an independent investigation into the incident.
The investigation will be carried out by the California Police Shooting Investigation Team. In the officials' review, it is expected to determine the conditions that led to the police firing and how the incident unfolded minute by minute.
