Armed attack in front of a high school in Manisa.
In the Turgutlu district of Manisa, an armed attack was carried out in the morning near İnci Üzmez Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Eight people were injured in the incident, and a 15‑year‑old suspect was taken into custody.
The attack occurred near the school around 07:59. Upon the report, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the area, and the injured were taken to hospitals.
The Manisa Governorship announced that after the incident the suspect was apprehended by security forces and taken into custody, and that criminal and administrative investigations have been launched. The motive of the attack has not yet been determined.
After the incident, security measures around the school were increased while the investigation continues.
