Rahmi Koç and Bill Ford receive honorary award in New York
Rahmi M. Koç, Chairman of Koç Holding's Honorary Board, and Bill Ford, Chairman of Ford Motor Company's Board of Directors, were awarded an honorary award at the '100-Year Friendship: Turkey-US Gala' held in New York for their contributions to the economic and commercial ties between the two countries.
The gala organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S.-Turkey Business Council was held in New York.
More than 350 guests from business, public, civil society, sports, and arts circles in Turkey and the U.S. attended the evening hosted by Hamdi Ulukaya and his wife Louise Ulukaya.
At the event, Rahmi M. Koç and Bill Ford were presented with awards for their contributions to strengthening economic and trade ties between Turkey and the U.S.
Emphasis on the Koç-Ford partnership.
Rahmi M. Koç said that the award reflected the Koç Group's contribution to relations between the two countries, adding that the 98‑year partnership with Ford Motor Company is one of the most entrenched examples of Turkey‑U.S. economic relations.
Bill Ford, on the other hand, noted that the Ford and Koç families have built a trust‑based partnership for nearly a century, and that this collaboration continues through Ford Otosan.
