Flights from Turkey to Iran have stopped
Following the United States' new sanctions on Iran's aviation sector, Turkish Airlines (THY), AJet, and Pegasus have made comprehensive changes to their Iran operations. While flights to Iran are not visible in THY and AJet's systems until March 2027, Pegasus has also removed its flights from the reservation system.

The websites of THY and AJet reported that there are no flights to Iran until Mart 2027. A THY official, however, stated that there is no guarantee the flights will resume after Mart 2027.
It was reported that Pegasus also removed its flights to Iran from the reservation system. Thus a significant tightening in air transport between Türkiye and Iran occurred.
ABD sanctions target İran aviation.
ABD Treasury Department added 36 entities, including 27 Iranian airlines, to its sanctions list in the package targeting İran's aviation sector on 8 Eylül. Washington argued that these companies were used by İran for weapons, personnel, and illicit cargo transport.
Following the new sanctions, the international air links to İran are expected to shrink further, leaving the timing of Türk airlines' return to İran operations uncertain.
