Grand Gathering in New York: Muslims Will Walk in Manhattan
New York's heart will be filled this time with a message of faith and cultural diversity! The Muslim Day Parade, held since 1985, is preparing to bring together Muslims from different cultures in Manhattan for the United States' 250th year.
New York will host one of the city's longest-running Muslim community events this September. Muslim Day Parade will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Manhattan.
This year's theme highlights messages of unity and cultural diversity in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

According to the organizers' announcement, participants are expected to gather around the intersection of 41st Street and Madison Avenue at around 11:00 a.m. The New York City official event permit records indicate that the procession will take place between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., covering the area surrounding Madison Avenue.
A large number of mosques, community organizations, and Muslim groups operating in New York and its surrounding areas are expected to take part in the event.

The history of the Muslim Day Parade dates back to 1985. Over the years, the event has brought together Muslims from different nations and cultures in Manhattan, and has also become a platform for conveying messages of dialogue between societies and faiths.
In past years' parades, participants marching with flags from different countries created colorful scenes on Madison Avenue. The Turkish community also took part in earlier years; in the 2022 parade, participants carrying the Turkish flag were photographed.
This Year’s Emphasis on ABD’s 250th Anniversary
One of the details that sets the 2026 event apart from previous years is the strong emphasis on ABD’s 250th anniversary. On the poster, alongside the Statue of Liberty, the New York skyline, and the ABD flag, the phrase “Together We Build a Stronger America” (Together We Build a Stronger America) message was used.
The organization, in addition to celebrating faith and cultural heritage, aims to emphasize the message that Muslims from different backgrounds are part of American society.
