430 euro limit for those bringing souvenirs to Turkey
The Ministry of Trade announced customs rules for clothing imported from abroad to Turkey. Clothing brought for personal use is exempt from tax, while it was noted that the 430 Euro limit applies to souvenirs.

Bekir Kaplan, adviser for Press and Public Relations at the Ministry of Trade, stated that there is no monetary limit on the clothing passengers bring for their own needs.
Under Article 58 of Decision No. 2009/15481 and Section B of Annex 9, clothing items intended for personal use are exempt from customs duties.
430‑Euro limit on gifts
For gift items that are not considered personal goods and lack commercial character, an exemption ceiling applies.
Accordingly, the limit is set at €430 for passengers aged 15 and older, and €150 for those under 15.

The ministry’s statement revealed that clothing brought for personal use and gift items are subject to different customs rules.
