The family tragedy that unfolded at a luxury estate in New Jersey, USA, has come to light. It was reported that 61‑year‑old David Grodnick, a senior executive in the insurance sector, killed his 62‑year‑old wife Lora Grodnick and their 24‑year‑old daughter Sloane Grodnick with a gun before taking his own life.
According to a statement from the Somerset County District Attorney’s Office, the three family members were found in their home in Montgomery Township with gunshot wounds to the head. Authorities classified the deaths of Lora and Sloane Grodnick as murders, while David Grodnick’s death was deemed a suicide.

Everything began with a “Check on Their Well‑Being” Report.
Police units went to the house on Wild Azalea Lane at about 14:59 on October 1, following a welfare‑check request after no news could be obtained from the family.

The 24‑year‑old Sloane was pursuing a master's degree.
It was stated that the family's 24‑year‑old daughter, Sloane Grodnick, studied at Savannah College of Art and Design after graduating from the private The Hun School in Princeton.
It was reported that Sloane later continued her master's studies at the Rhode Island School of Design.
The family had previously lived in Princeton and then moved to Montgomery Township, it was reported. It was recorded that the Grodnick family were also members of private clubs in the area, such as Bedens Brook Country Club and TPC Jasna Polana in Princeton.
